About the event

If you want to join a group of people with some knowledge about the Israeli-Palestinian context, and you are looking for current conversations about recent books that discuss various aspects of the Question of PAlestine from a global and inter/National perspective, then this is for you. 

It is prefereble to have a small group in order to enable constructive conversations. You do not have to commite to all of the sessions, but you are encouraged to do so.  

Rough program per session

5.30 Social Gathering where we share a light bite and drinks 

6.00 Discussion is facilitated about a book 

7.30 bring conversation to a closing with special emphasis on application

8.00 Programs ends.

  • March 15th - Greater than the Sum of our Parts by Nada Elias 
  • April 12th - Canada as a Settler Colony and the Question of Palestine
  • May 24th - Attempting a Theological Conversation between Palestinian and North American Indigenous Understanding of Land - by Shadia Qubti (MA Thesis paper)
  • June 7th - Call and Commitment by Naim Ateek 

There is one copy of the book available at the church. Contact community engagement coordinator to discuss possible borrowing (community@tgucvan.com).
