Were You There?
This is the question posed in the traditional hymn we sing each year during Holy Week. This coming week, we journey with Jesus through his final days: from his demonstration / counter-procession into Jerusalem to the Upper Room where he washes the feet of his disciples, to his arrest in the garden, the the trial and, finally, his crucifixion.
We will experience this journey liturgically through this Sunday’s Palm Sunday service, followed by a special Good Friday service on Friday, April 3rd at 10:30am.
If you’re looking for a personal devotional practice for this week, I recommend checking out this online “Stations of the Cross” self-guided experience, a beautiful reflection resource put together buy our friends at West Van United Church.
Blessings for the week ahead,
Rev. Sandra
The fledgling TGUC choir had its first rehearsal last Sunday, and will be singing at the Easter Service on April 5th.
