FOR YOUR ATTENTION

FEB 17th - DAY OF ACTION! The critical window to act to pressure MPs to vote for it is right now.

Join the day of action to make your voice heard about an arms embargo to stop Canadian military/arms support for the genocide in Gaza.

Sample email to send MP:

I would like to know before February 17 whether you support the No More Loopholes Act. I trust that you will also assure me that you are doing all you can right now to ensure that it receives the support of the majority when it is voted on.

I will be watching how you vote and promise that if you do not support this Act, not only will I personally not vote for you in the next election, I will do all that I can to ensure that you do not win re-election.

I appreciate the need for "pragmatism" in international relations, but explicit genocidal policies and actions are not only internationally unlawful they are morally repugnant. No future can built on accommodating the actions of the State of Israel.SUNDAY SERVICE

“Return to Me” - LENT 2026

We are about to enter a holy season of the church year, the Season of Lent.

Lent is a 40-day season of reflection and spiritual renewal, as we prepare to walk with Jesus through his last days, into the hope of resurrection. As we engage in practices of prayer, repentance and action, we deepen our experience of God’s presence in our lives, and are empowered to live more fully in the spirit of Jesus - with love for ourselves and all our neighbours.

Here are two suggestions for beginning your Lenten journey:

Saturday Feb 21: An Invitation from the Tsleil-Waututh Nation

The waters of the Burrard Inlet are under threat. A proposal to dredge near the Second Narrows Bridge would disturb the sea floor and sea life to move even more oil through this channel. Rueben George of Tsleil-Waututh Nation is inviting people to come pray for the waters of the inlet and discuss how we can take action together to keep the inlet safe from dredging.
