April Community E-News

Dear friends,

As Easter weekend approaches, the cherry blossoms are in full bloom here in the lower mainland, and many of you may be anticipating gatherings or activities with family and friends.

Easter is a time to celebrate the hope of renewed life. We remain conscious and prayerful for the healing, reconciliation, peace and justice that we, our neighbours, the earth and so many peoples of this world are longing for.

TGUC is a community rooted in the belief that love is the transformational power that can help the world and all its beings flourish - and help us live authentically joyful lives.

This Easter weekend and beyond, may signs of life re-emerging all around us, solidarity between us, and traditions that connect us, offer blessings in abundance, and bring you joy and hope.

Rev. Sandra

p.s. We are an actively praying community! If have something/someone you’d like us to pray for, email me at: rev@tgucvan.com

A GLIMPSE AT GRACIE’S THRIFT

We are moving into warmer weather,so we'll have more summer and spring clothing out. Our winter clothing continues to be discounted - look out for more great deals!!

A big "thank you" to our faithful supporters and the shoppers who have just discovered Gracie’s. We’ve been having great crowds come out to shop, donate and raise enough funds to make significant donations to local and global organizations.

This week, we donated to the Vancouver HumaneSociety, HomeStart Foundation, and Doctors Without Borders (MSF}.

Unsold clothing went to the Union Gospel Mission for their downtown outreach and thrift store, a partnering United  Church thrift store and Thunderbird Elementary School where students and families in need are supported.
