Joy Banks has created something extraordinary - an embodied experience that refuses to look away from immense loss while maintaining profound dignity. This isn't art you simply view; it's sacred space that grounds you in the present moment and allows grief its weight. I witnessed Banks' remarkable ability to create space for authentic lament - a testament to both artistic vision and deep respect for the stories she carries. Some experiences can only be encountered in person. This is one of them.
