AFFIRMING MINISTRY TEAM
TGUC’s Affirming Ministry Team is looking for new members!
The Team’s mandate is to help TGUC live into its identity as an Affirming Ministry. With support from Sandra and Shadia, the Team meets quarterly to:
Plan special services (Pride, Trans Day of Remembrance, PIE Day) and advocacy/educational events such as Lunch & Learns.
Facilitate TGUC’s participation (in collaboration with the Lower Mainland Affirming UCCs Network) in events such as the Dyke March, East Side Pride, and the Vancouver Pride Parade.
Make recommendations to enhance TGUC’s affirming ministry & welcome
Meeting time/format is flexible. If you’re interested in joining the team, reach out to Doug Jameson, David Quan or Rev. Sandra.

Canada-Philippine Solidarity for Human Rights

Filipino farmer activist and advocate, Danilo “Ka Daning” Ramos is visiting Vancouver as part of a Canada-wide tour to shed light on the human rights situation in the Philippines, and to build solidarity relationships with people in Canada on issues including Indigenous sovereignty, migrant justice, and workers rights.
Gathering for the Trees

The Living Interfaith Sanctuary invites all concerned to come together for shared grieving and action: to mourn the loss of the great trees of BC through ritual and sharing, to learn together from Indigenous teachers and BC’s Sierra Club, to set intentions and offer prayers for change, and to pledge action.

The Stó:lō people have called this place home since time immemorial, and we hope that our walk honours them, their land, their river, their ancestors and their children.

Pride Month Film Screening - The Fruit Machine
