A Note From Rev. Sandra:
Dear friends,
I’m writing to let you know about a call of spirit that has been distilling for me over the past while. After prayer and reflection, I have decided to put my name forward as a candidate for school trustee in Richmond (where I live) in the upcoming municipal election this October.
Some of you will know that I previously served as a trustee on the school board before stepping away four years ago. I’m now feeling called to once again offer my leadership in that capacity.
What does this mean for TGUC? I’ll be busier in the coming weeks as I engage with my campaign, but I will be working as usual up to the week prior to the election on Oct.17. The role of school trustee is a personal public service commitment that will be separate from my ministry with TGUC, should I be elected.

An Evening of Witness: Sailing for Gaza

Come hear from Huwaida Arraf, Palestinian-American human rights attorney and co-founder of the International Solidarity Movement; and Sebastian Tow, a Vancouver activist and one of twelve Canadians who attempted to sail to Gaza with the flotilla this past April.
Their testimonies offer a rare, firsthand window into the ongoing effort to challenge the blockade and stand in solidarity with the people of Gaza. We hope you will join us for what promises to be a moving and important gathering.
